I enjoyed and benefited from this conversation very much. However…
Welbutrin is relatively mild compared to most psychopharm but it’s far from totally benign. I and others I know suffered a handful of depressing “side effects” from taking it. For me it was more or less trading one form of depressivness for another. Getting off of it, due to the “side effects,” was also traumatic and depressing. I suppose the interviewee is still taking Welbutrin and hasn’t had to go through the withdrawal. I would recommend natural/herbal anti-depressants such as St. John Wort and 5-htp and Chinese herbal medicinals. Please don’t endorse psychopharm as a “just do it” first-step for everyone suffering from depression.
